Sultana High school is making some changes for the new school year. This year Sultana has replaced Edline with Powerschool. Although parents have relied on Edline in the past, the new system will completely replace Edline allowing for streamlined Internet access to class progress.

"Doctor! We Can't Stop The Bleeding! There's Teal Everywhere!" |
 Some people work so hard they sweat, our ASB works so hard they bleed--teal that is.
This year Sultans donʼt drip teal they “bleed teal.” Itʼs the start of the 2010-2011 year and ASB canʼt wait to get started.
“Itʼs the start of a new year so we always come back bigger, better, faster, stronger,” said Dallas Faile.
There are several goals ASB has in mind, one of which is trying to get students more involved in school activities. The first major event for students to get involved in is the building and helping out of the Homecoming Floats.

No, not that Larry Bird. Meet the new principal |

This 2010-2011 school year Sultana is welcoming Mr. Larry Bird as their new principal.
Over summer vacation, Mr. Bird had a choice between Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Instruction for HUSD or becoming Sultana’s principal. He chose Sultana because, according to him, this is his dream job. Now as Mr. Bird is at the start of his twenty fourth year at HUSD, he is where he wants to be career-wise.
“I could not envision another job I want as much as I want this one.” said Bird

What do you think of when you hear "woodshop"? ...spice racks, wood pens, wooden jewelry boxes. Maybe, but Sultana High School's wood shop breaks these stereotypes with amazing projects that showcase skill and artistry.
"It's a class where you can take it seriously and it can be a career for you, or it can be a hobby," said Blake Robbins, wood shop teacher, "Something to express your artistic side."
