rysmllBlue-42... Set... Dance! Some people view guys dancing as a bad thing, but what they don't know is that dance can be helpful in many sports. For instance, Ryan Young is a senior at Sultana who dances and once played football.

"Dance helps me with my strength, stamina, and agility in football," said Ryan.

Though dance and football seem completely different, they share similarities. "Dance requires way more physical strength than football to me", said Ryan, with a laugh. "As in mental ability, football takes over," Ryan also said. "With football there is a lot more you have to memorize and have to do than dance," said Ryan's father, Robert Young. "With Ryan, doing dance has helped him with timing and everything else that has to do with football to improve his performance."

Ryan Young wouldn't be where he is now if it wasn't for the support and encouragement his family has given him. "I have whole-heartedly supported him in what he wants to do by being at every football game and every dance competition he has had," said Young's father.

Not only does his dad support him, but his mom is his #1 fan. Misty Young said "I love to watch him dance and play football, even though I know nothing about football." He wouldn't have started dancing in the first place if it wasn't for his sister, Mackenzie Young.

Males and females each have their own opinions about football and dance. It just so happens that Ryan Young shows that both are manly, athletic pursuits.
