'Underground' Success
Written by Deshina Nanthakumar
The music roared as Sultans let loose at this year's winter formal dance. The 'underground' theme flared with club feel and was without a doubt an enjoyable and memorable night for students of all grades. The jam-packed Sultan Hall was dark, with bright accents of flashing lights of all colors, glow sticks, and disco balls.

One of the things that made this year's winter formal so special was the Dj and music selection. The songs created an energetic environment, and many students stayed on the dance floor most of the night. The room was not entirely lit most of the time, allowing some beginning dancers to feel more comfortable, and revel in the moment.

The 'non-formal' vibe of the dance was a hit among our students, and it was a refreshing change for a winter formal. Girls got to wear more casual dresses, and boys were allowed to sport jeans and sneakers, which differed from many of Sultana's past dances. Those who attended this dance were treated to a great school gathering.
