Soroptimist International of Victor Valley and Happy Trails Children’s Foundation have partnered for over ten years to assist deserving females in our community with the cost of their higher education.
Grant applications are attached. Applications must be received by April 1, 2020. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

2019-2020 Soroptimist International Dream it, Be it Scholarhip:

Deadline April 15, 2020

Soroptimist International of Victor Valley is conducting the 5th
Annual Dream It, Be It Award Program, which provides financial
assistance and a laptop computer to the selected winners, as
a reward for pursuing their career dreams. The award recipients
must be able to demonstrate in an essay what their career
dreams are, and the steps taken so far to turn the dreams into
reality and have two letters of recommendation submitted on
their behalf. The Dream It, Be It Award recognizes young
women for thinking about and working toward their future
careers.  If you are a high school woman 12 - 18 years of age
who has her sights set on the future? Who dreams of
the career she wants? Who has set goals for herself to achieve
her dream career? If you are a young woman who has taken
action to work towards your dream career, then you may be
eligible for a Soroptimist Dream It, Be It Award.
Three award winners will be chosen to  receive the
following: 1st place - $500.00, 2nd place - $400, and 3rd place -
$300, and all three will receive a laptop computer to help with
your educational and career development goals.

Winners must attend our Annual Awards Dinner on June 17, 2020 in Victorville, where they will receive their prize. Each winner and one guest will be our guest at the dinner. The winner may bring additional guests at a cost.

The Cardenas Markets Foundation Scholarship Program is now accepting applications!

Deadline April 29, 2020

Cardenas Markets and the Cardenas Markets Foundation understand how important college completion is to students. The Scholarship Program is intended to support those students who have a relentless desire to achieve their dreams for a higher education and express a commitment to serve their community.

The new Cardenas Markets Foundation Scholarship Program is giving 59 students, of multiple academic backgrounds and career aspirations, the opportunity to obtain a college degree. 59 eligible applicants (one per store) will each receive a $2000 award to help finance their tuition. The recipients will be selected based on their academic qualifications, financial needs, and learning attributes.

Students in California (Inland Empire and Bay Area), Arizona (Phoenix and Tucson) and Nevada (Las Vegas) face a number of obstacles when looking towards higher education. Through the Cardenas Markets Foundation Scholarship Program, the supermarket chain is helping to alleviate the education gap, while giving back to the communities that supported its initial development and growth.

City Property Management- HOA Service Scholarship:

City Property Management, a HOA Management Service in the Phoenix, AZ is pleased to offer the City Property Management HOA Service Scholarship.

The Scholarship is open nationwide to those who will be attending college during the fall semester of 2020. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in HOA Management, but anyone meeting the requirements who can demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the Real Estate field will be considered. This Award will be presented to current college students, but high school seniors who will be attending school in the fall semester of 2020 are also welcome to apply.

The award will be presented to a college student who is enrolled by the fall semester of 2020, but will not have graduated by fall semester of 2020 & is still attending courses at this time. This will be a one-time award.

The Scholarship will be judged primarily on merit and need. Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will be taken in to account.

Requirements:

  • Completed application must be submitted online by July 31, 2020. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  • INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  • Applicant must plan to attend college by fall semester 2020.
  • Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • A transcript must be attached to application for consideration.
  • Applicant must submit an un-opened copy of official transcripts if selected as a finalist.
  • This scholarship is a one-time award worth $1,000 to be awarded the fall semester of 2020.
  • Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
  • Applicant will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship
